Please, personal opinions if a book were to have fantasy / role play type characters with monsters and combat?

such as a warrior or an archer, fighting well described monsters?

If you mean a novelisation of “Fred hits the Gorgon in the arm for 8 damage using his magic sword. The Gorgon swings back and misses. Fred gets in a superb blow with the +5 dagger, but the Gorgon blocks it with a Shield of Great Blockiness…” then…meh. You get it in fanfic all the time. I think it’s utterly boring.

A book first and foremost needs a plot and good characterisation. Everything else is chrome.
